Part 2 of 7
In a world of linked realms, Finn's distress call echoes from a desolate tower, reaching even a Ratatosk, messenger of the gods. Meanwhile, Gwen, Tristan, and Emma, struggle to reopen the mystical portal to other worlds, spurred by Gwen's unyielding belief in Finn's survival.
Guilt-ridden Gwen seeks solace with Tristan and Emma in the forest, interrupted by a Ratatosk bearing Finn's message: he is trapped in the realm of the giants and will be executed for a murder he did not commit. Fear, relief and fascination grip them, reflecting their personalities. Seeking aid from Alvis and Nana's wards becomes imperative.
Alvis proposes a complex ritual to save Finn, involving spirit-world communication: Memories surface, aided by Finn's loyal dog spirit, Connor. They journey through the fractured Waiting Room into the Barren World.
In Jotunheim, Finn, with Grid and Orvar, deciphers their prison's mystery. Their cells are actually biomes, created in an attempt to heal the dying world. Accusations against Orvar strain their unity. Finn uncovers the truth during a tense Jotunheim hearing, revealing Grid's link to the Endless Beast and Brysha's sacrifice. Chaos reigns as the Valdar arrive, ultimately exonerating Finn. Facing Grid, Finn learns of her connection to the Endless Beast. A fierce battle ensues; Grid flees with the Grimoire and part of Finn's shield.
Now, Finn and friends must halt Grid's havoc, locating the vassal of the Endless Beast before more damage is done.
