Returning to Neverwick, they uncover unusual gifts, guided by which they enter Asgard, recognized as Valdar by leader Freyja. Amid trials and valor, Finn and Gwen find a young child imprisoned for uncontrollable magic, leading to the Wyrm's Nest and encounters with Alvis and Gunnar. The Valdar, moved by empathy, study undercover but are forced into action by Gunnar's ruthlessness. Their quest exposes betrayals by former ally Alvis, endangering lives.

Meanwhile, Finn's friends confront Gunnar's escalating power, resulting in a climactic showdown. Finn's selflessness leads him to a mysterious realm with unfinished tasks.
